Out in castle town

It was a normal day in castle town.
Now I'm spending the evening with my friends.
We're the same group as always.

Tonight will be special, though.
We want celebrate that I got some amazing project.
I will redesign the bridge from the castle island to the nature area.

I have been there a few times, but we didn't explore the nature area. We basically only went to the other side and that was it.

The guy from the magic association and my fighting partner are my best friends in this group. I usually stay close to them when we're going out in the evening.
I still don't know their names though, and now it's too late to ask.

We are sitting in some restaurant where we eat and drink and just have fun. Normally we don't talk about anything serious.

So you still don't have a girlfriend?

Yeah, I'm pretty busy. No time for that.
But actually, I have some girl waiting for me at my former home.

She probably already has somebody else.
Don't expect her to wait for you for so long.

I doubt that she'd find somebody else.

I now realize what I did. I start to regret my decision.
I was her only friend and I just left her alone.
How could I think this was a good idea?

I probably can't blame her if she found somebody else.

As I'm thinking, everybody else is already talking about other things.

Since everybody finished eating, let's go somewhere else.
I know a nice pub.

Everybody agrees and we leave this place together.

As we're walking through the town streets, heading for the pub, I notice a familiar looking girl.
I'm not sure where I saw her. It's not Lena or Selia. They didn't change that much.

Then I remember. She's the girl from my dream.
Or was she actually real?
She looks at me with a sinister smile, as if she could come at me at any time.

I hide behind my fighter friend.
It seems like he doesn't even notice.

Then I look back at her, but she's gone.
Maybe this was just some illusion?
I probably shouldn't drink that much anymore.

So we just keep going and soon we reach the pub.
Inside we get comfortable and get some drinks.

So what is the project you'll be doing anyway?
That's why we're here after all.

He'll redesign the bridge.

Oh, the bridge?
That's amazing. Everybody knows the brigde.

But this will probably take a while

I think I can finish the design and the planning in a few months. Maybe half a year at most.

But they'll probably still have to build for some years.

Maybe if the platehumans help, we're faster.
But we'll see

Platehumans? Aren't they dangerous?

The ones I know are nice.

I didn't know you knew platehumans.
I guess there's much I don't know about you yet.
Did you just decide this on your own?

It wasn't my idea. The princess came up with it.

Oh right, you also were visiting the princess recently.

No, that's not it. We just talked about my job and possible projects and that's it.
